		<description>Marilyn, I usually just use the romaine lettuce, but I think that the plastic knife would work just fine on head lettuce too. I love using whisks for a variety of mixing tasks also.</description>

		<description>The julienne peeler looks like a great tool.  Any idea where to find them?  

I know that metal will rust the edges of lettuce, so I&#039;m always just torn it by hand.  I never thought about trying a plastic knife.
